n July 2024, Mark Bless portrayed the role of Đorđe in the play Belgrade–Vienna, an adaptation of Belgrade–London by Serbian playwright Fedor Šili. The production was performed open-air at Mortarapark as part of Kultursommer Wien, directed by Marina Margo and presented by the Stanislavski Youth Theatre.
The play explores integration, loneliness and the experience of living between different cities and worlds. Đorđe is a young man facing questions about where he belongs, whether to stay or leave, and how to find his own path while dealing with the expectations and pressures around him.
Mark stepped into the role only four days before the premiere, replacing the original lead actor. With very little preparation time, he had to learn the role, find the character and become part of an already developed production just days before performing it in front of an audience.
The experience was an important challenge for Mark as a young actor. Taking responsibility for a leading role at such short notice required focus, adaptability and trust in his instincts on stage, and became one of the experiences that helped shape his further development as an actor.
